Just like screenshots on our smartphones, our HP laptop can always capture what's on your screen. But a small problem is that it does not automatically save it on our computer, but that we need to export the copied image into editing software like paint or Photoshop to save it as an image file. It's a simple task, but if you do not know how to do it, or you doubt one or two steps, then do not be afraid, at the end of the article you will probably find the solution of your trouble.
- First of all, find out the print screen key on your HP laptop. It will be placed along the function keys numbered from 1 to 12 in the upper right corner probably labelled as PrtSc or such an abbreviation.
- Open the screen which you want to capture as a screenshot. You can take the screenshot of anything to be it a webpage, desktop, document or any file. All that is visible on your monitor screen will be captured including the taskbar.
- Press the windows key and the print screen key together at the same time. This will capture and copy the picture on the clipboard of your pc. You may have to press the function key along with them which is labelled as Fn.
- Go to the start menu and open the image editor like MS paint by entering its name in the search box.
- Give a right click on the canvas and select paste else, press Ctrl and V together to paste the picture from the clipboard to canvas.
- Don’t forget to save the file before closing the program by entering the name and the format of your choice.
